The Dress Code – Explained!

We have had a number of requests to explain the “Black Tie, Pork Pie” & “Black, White and a splash of the Blues” Dress Code for the ball – well its up to your interpretation but for Gentlemen any adaptation of the Black Tie theme would be acceptable – the Pork Pie is “tipping the hat” to Jake and Elwood – the Blues Brothers! Watch this space – it may be that one of our sponsors may provide the hat and shades combo…..

For the Ladies – again interpret the Black/White/Blue theme as you like – Evening Dress is essential – interpret the colour scheme to suit your individual style!

Beerbelly Blues! Roger signs up!

Local Blues Folk Legend Roger Davies signs up to the Ball! – We are lucky to have Roger Davies performing a few numbers at the Ball, and donating one of his unique Huddersfield Town themed paintings to the Auction!

“When Roger walked on stage to a sold out Square Chapel in Halifax, it quickly became obvious why this self styled ‘Yorkshire Songwriter’ commands such a strong following. His songs are a reflection of the world around us. His lyrics can be funny, as in ‘The Beerbelly Blues’, thought provoking or, as in his tender ballad ‘Stephanie’, simply exquisite.” Halifax Courier
